Welcome!

The Urban Ecology Lab seeks to increase our understanding of ecological interactions of urban systems, and apply that understanding to improving ecological sustainability and conservation in urban environments.  Undergraduate students working in the urban ecology lab investigate animal and plant ecology, wetlands and aquatic systems, and urban horticulture, using our campus as a living laboratory.  Graduate students address broader research topics related to biodiversity and conservation in urban systems.  Please contact Dr. Bohlen if you are interested in finding out more about opportunities for undergraduate or graduate research, internships or independent study.
